BrightStar Care is Hiring Personal Care Attendants (PCA) & Caregivers – High-Acuity Case (Summerlin)

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of others? Join the BrightStar Care team as a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) / Caregiver, where you'll provide compassionate, high-quality care to clients in the comfort of their homes.

We are currently staffing a 24/7 high-acuity client in the Summerlin area requiring 12-hour shift coverage (days and nights available).

About This Specific Case

This client is an EXTREME fall risk — one fall could result in serious or life-threatening injury.
Caregivers must provide constant supervision, hands-on support, and immediate response to mobility needs.

Physical Demands Notice:
This position involves increased physical demands due to client-specific care needs. Applicants must be able to safely perform transfers and provide physical support up to 100 lbs in accordance with client safety requirements.

Wages

$15–$17 per hour (paid weekly)

(Opportunity for consistent full-time hours due to 24/7 care needs)

Availability

12-hour shifts (day & night)
Must have consistent weekend availability (Saturday and/or Sunday)

Location:

Primary Case: Summerlin
Additional opportunities may be available in: Southern Highlands, Spring Valley, Anthem, Boulder City, and Lake Las Vegas

Key Responsibilities

Continuous fall prevention and close supervision
Hands-on transfers and mobility assistance
Assisting with ADLs: toileting, dressing, hygiene, showers
Safe transfers using gait belts and/or Hoyer lift
Monitoring vital signs
Repositioning for comfort and skin integrity
Light housekeeping and meal preparation
Transportation to appointments and social outings
Companionship and engagement
Pet care (as needed)

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of PCA/Caregiver experience
Experience with high fall-risk clients strongly preferred
Ability to lift, push, pull, and transfer up to 100 lbs
Must be comfortable with hands-on transfers
Valid Driver’s License + Auto Insurance (REQUIRED)
Reliable transportation and willingness to transport client
Must pass:
- Drug Screening
- FBI Background Check
Valid physical and negative 2-step TB test
CPR and First Aid certifications
Comfortable working around household pets (cats/dogs)
